Our great, but incredibly LONG weekend!

So we had a really great weekend, but it turned out to be a REALLY LONG weekend too.
July 3rd
We jammed it so full of stuff that we were worn out by the end. We started it off on Friday morning with a 6 mile bike ride around the flight line. This is the only picture we took, isn't it a great one! :) The barbed wire is a fact of life here in South Korea! You really do stop noticing it after a while. But it was a great ride. That must have been our work out day, b/c I threw in two more work outs and Doug one other one that afternoon. Then that evening we topped it off with a performance by Deanna Carter. (She sings, "Strawberry Wine")
The kids dancing to the song, I have NO idea where they picked up break dancing!!!

It was a great but tiring day!!

July 4th
The next morning due to lack of decision we decided to do the bike ride again. This time the enthusiasm was not quite there, but we still had a good time. After this bike ride we only did one workout, that was a much better idea!! Two was TOO much!
That afternoon we headed over to the base 4th of July activities with friends, Cory and Lauren Naddy.
What 4th celebration is complete without a trip to the fire truck. The kids loved it, but couldn't wait to get on the bouncy castles!

Sean and Bryce

Our four wreaking havoc in the fire truck all at the same time.

Doug with the monster wide load stroller we have to tote the twins around when we know they are going to be tired. It was a good idea that afternoon.

Conner with his war wound he got from our bike ride that morning. He fell off his bike when daddy tried to help him along on the 6 mile trek.

The girls all in red! Friends Lauren (left) and Christa (right) who have both gone home to the states for the next month or so!

The Naddy's youngest. I just love my little Clay!
Sean
Cory and Lauren, friends who we walked to the fourth of July with. Such a cute family.
We headed back home with our other friend the Antideminicos from church. They have three boys who are around our boys ages. It's been great getting to be closer friends with them. And it's so awesome to see all these boys together!

July 5th
This nice Korean man who worked there wanted to take our picture for us, this was sweet and funny when he wanted to take it three different times from three different angles.

This was the horse show we watched, it was pretty cool, guys jumping around while riding horses, pretty amazing.

These are shoes.

A stepping stone bridge. We went over it a couple of times and only had one kid fall in and that was only a little bit! Wohoo!

These things are like teeter totters but you jump on them. It's strange, you are suppose to bounce on one side and then send the person on the other side into the air. Our kids did NOT get the point and just jumped on it, but thankfully we didn't have any broken bones from falling off and no blood at all!!
This is how it is supposed to work.

And then this is how our kids did it!

Too funny.
I loved the corn! It looked so cool!

Cody in authentic Korean garb.

Conner and Sean

In Germany they had grapes growing over things, here it's SQUASH!! That is so Korean!

A Kitchen

Watching a tight rope walker. He was probably in his 50's and bouncing around on a tight rope. Crazy!

Me balancing a pot, that would normally carry water, on my head, yeah, no water in it and it was a still a little difficult. Definitively something you grow into.
Not something I'm used to seeing, but ok.
This place was just like Silver Dollar City! My dad would love it!! The only down side, you couldn't talk to the workers due to language barriers, so no question asking, bummer!

July 6th
Then the next day we went to Everland. Kind of like Disneyworld, but not quite. And no that's not our kid, it's our friends that we went with.

Cody riding the elephant ride. Everything here is "almost" like Disneyworld, but just not quite!

The boys while watching the splish splash show were pulled into the parade around the stage. Conner didn't get chosen so he threw a huge fit. The Korean people like to reward fits we have come to find out and invited our fit throwing son up on front. He was still mad that he didn't get chosen for the parade and so he just stood there and pouted! Boy that kid is a frustrating one sometimes.

Sean after the show, soaking wet!!

After the Splish Splash show we were SOAKED!! Thankfully I had skipped the second half of the show to bring the extra little boy in the photo back to his mom and dad (who had wisely sat in the "dry" section of stadium). Therefore I didn't get AS wet as everyone else. The front of my shirt was dry, Doug and kids, yeah, nothing dry there.

And that is all!
