Hawaii and our first days in Tucson

Between Korea and the US we headed to Hawaii for five days of just relaxin'!!  It was wonderful!  We did very little but still enjoyed it so much!  Eating out was expensive and time consuming so we ended up with a lot of take out eaten on the beach.  It was wonderful.  The picture above is us on the "beach" there was a grassy area next to the beach and was better to eat dinner on.
Doug rented a paddle board and tried to take all four boys out at once.  He found out that was harder than he thought.

But they had fun!

Turns out I have better balance than Doug! :)

This was where we went to church that week.  It was really neat!

Tree climbing after breakfast.

Notice the extreme red of my chest!  We were SOO sunburned after our first day in Hawaii.  It was sleeves and no sun after that first day!

Since we were in Hawaii though we just decided to take a drive and headed to this little inlet. Thankfully there was shade in the inlet!

Our first attempt at a self shot family picture...

Finally got all of us!!  So cute!

Fourth of July

Love those boys!

Then we made it to Tucson.  Sad to leave Hawaii but happy to move on to the next chapter of our lives.  Doug took two boys and flew to Alabama and picked up a truck as well as his mom who came back with us.  We managed to not get any pictures of her time here!!  BUMMER!  There were a lot of errands that had to be run and she was such a trooper to hang in there with us while I drug her and the boys all over Tucson!
Once life calmed down we headed off to Colossal Cave.

Then my parents and brother and his family came out for a short visit.  It was so nice to see them all and we had a great time seeing everyone.  While they were here the boys were still in the process of exploring the back back yard.  There was a chair that was found and the boys decided to take it apart and bring it in for firewood.

My dad and brother Clinton and I.

We made it up to Sabino Canyon and hiked down the whole canyon!  We got a later start than we planned but it was still a wonderful time with family!

Doug was showing us what it would be like to lay in the river that is occasionally here.  That would have felt SOOO nice that day!!

The group minus Micki

With Micki and a few less kiddos!

The cousins.

Just a little hot and tired, but had so much fun!!

Heading down, after dumping a few kids.
Doug wanted to go to a car show.  So this is us at the car show...  not sure it was what he thought it was going to be.  But we had fun as a family non the less!
The boys got to get in the Truly Nolen bug limo.  They look so cool!

Then we met up with our long time friends Dan and Cher Hendrix at the zoo.  We haven't seen them in YEARS!!  And THIS is the only picture we got while at the zoo.  Argh!!  Oh well, hopefully we'll get together with them again soon.
